Why you need Adobe Digital Editions 3.
It appears that when more recent versions of Adobe Digital Editions (such as 4 and 4.5) are tried to install, the computer refuses and says that there is a problem with the .NET Framework files.
You get an error message saying something like ".NET Framework Initialization Error. To run this application you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework: v4.0.30319."
Even when you install the required .NET Framework, the computer still gives the error and refuses to install Adobe Digital Editions 4 and 4.5.
Solution: Use Adobe Digital Editions 3.
If you are using Windows 7 32-bit, use Adobe Digital Editions 3. It will not give an error about .NET Framework. However , first make sure you install the required version of .NET Framework.
I do not know if Adobe Digital Editions 3 works on other versions of Windows. Try and see.
